Intermediate Russian Lessons: Kizhi
This is a Russian language lesson for those who are not only interested in the language but also want to learn more about the country.
I’m continuing with my stories about interesting places in Russia.
This place is really magical. When you visit it once, you always want to come back.
Petrozavodsk is the capital of the Republic of Karelia. The city is the same age as Petersburg. St. Petersburg was founded in 1703, and Petrozavodsk too. But how is that related to Kizhi and why did this island become so popular? It is even listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
I really wanted to make this video to show you another wonderful place in the country, whose language you are studying.
After watching this video, you will find out many interesting facts about this amazing and unique place in Russia.
