If you’re at an intermediate level of Russian, video lessons will help you to practice your listening and reading skills. But lessons must be interesting, that’s why in my videos I tell about various places in Russian and famous personalities. Today I’m talking about Suvorov who was the greatest Russian military leader and who’s considered a national hero in Russia. However, I’m not going to tell you about his military campaigns: you can find a lot of information about it on the web. I’m telling about the time of his two-year exile to his family estate Konchanskoye, about 360 km from St Petersburg.

You’ll see where and how Suvorov spent his time during his exile; you’ll see his house, a part of his library and the things he used (or could use). After watching this video lesson, you’ll probably want to read more about this extraordinary person, whom Russians consider a national hero.

So – watch this video lesson, practice your Russian language skills and learn some new information about Russia and its history.
